What to Expect at Our Office
We are so glad you decided to take a closer look at Sheaffer Family Chiropractic. We know there are a lot of different chiropractors in York, but we are confident our approach to your health and well-being will work wonders for you! We truly appreciate your trust!
Many times, our patients are exhibiting the results of long-standing childhood through adulthood accidents and injuries which “went away” but are coming back to haunt them now!
When you first come to see our chiropractors, there are a few forms to fill out so we get a better understanding of your current health situation as well as your health and wellness history.

During your first visit we will gather the necessary information to see if chiropractic is right for you. You will meet with your chiropractor after filling out some brief paperwork describing your health history and your health goals. The first visit is approximately 45-60 minutes.
ExaminationX-RaysYour second visit is where you will need to make decisions about your goals and what type of care fits those goals. We will go over your x-rays and exam results and answer all of your questions. If you decide to begin your wellness journey, you’ll get your first wellness chiropractic adjustment.
If you have a 3rd party insurance, we try to have your insurance verification done by this visit so everything about finances are as clear as possible. Many patients do not have insurance and can still afford wellness chiropractic care in our office. Appointments will be scheduled as far into the future as your schedule permits.
Once we begin your care, a typical office visit takes only a few moments. You will be greeted at the front desk and go back to one of our large open family adjusting areas.
You will be asked to lay down on the adjusting table, relax, and breathe deeply. While you are lying down, you’ll want to think of something calming to you and relax your muscles and more importantly, your brain! During your office visit you will always be given the opportunity to ask Dr. Sheaffer any questions about your current condition or any other health concerns you have.
You will receive a re-exam on the Millennium Subluxation scanner approx. every 12 visits to monitor your nerve system.
